Ayala Land wins 'Best Investor Relations' award

-

Ayala Land Inc. has been accorded recognition for having the “Best Investor Relations” by a Philippine company at the 2008 IR Magazine South East Asia Awards.

During an awards luncheon held for investor relations and finance practitioners at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Singapore last Nov. 14, Ayala Land was recognized together with other leading companies from across the region. Alfonso Javier D. Reyes, head of Investor Communications and Compliance for Ayala Land, received the award on behalf of the company.

The awards are based on an extensive, independent research survey of analysts and portfolio managers globally who cover the South East Asian equity markets. Netherlands-based research firm Rematch conducted the study and interviewed a total of 426 respondents on the quality of corporate IR teams and their practices. The winners are those that are deemed to have “the highest degree of transparency, access and responsiveness as judged by investment professionals,” according to IR Magazine.

The survey specifically noted that the company is “very investor-friendly” and is “highly responsive to IR queries.” This marks the first time that Ayala Land has taken the top spot in the annual country rankings.

Ayala Land senior vice-president and chief finance officer Jaime E. Ysmael said that “we are honored and proud to receive this distinction. Our team has put in a lot of work to constantly improve our IR practices and raise these to world-class standards. This award represents a tremendous validation of these efforts.”
