Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. has assured it has adequate supply of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for its customers.
Shell LPG general manager Bernard Ong alleged customer’s concerns after reports of shortage in supply LPG in the market surfaced.
During a stakeholders’ meeting at the Department of Energy, it was noted that there were some delays in the shipment of LPG products.
But Ong said for Shell’s part, it has a steady supply of LPG. “Shell is not experiencing any shortages in LPG.”
He said aside from the continuous supply of LPG, Shell will also continue offering competitively-priced LPG products.
“We remain committed to provide our customers with consistent supply of competitively-priced products,” Ong pointed out.
Shell owns and manages an LPG refinery and a 90,000-cubic meter refrigerated import terminal in Tabangao, Batangas.
According to Ong, these two LPG facilities will give a competitive advantage to Shell. “These two supply points guarantee adequate supply of LPG. Even when demand for LPG is expected to increase, especially during the holiday season, our customers can be assured of continued supply.”
Shell is the pioneer marketer of LPG in the world with over 50 years of experience. It presently accounts for more than 20 percent of the LPG market in the Philippines.
