Faith abilities

Connie Te from Cebu is a very good friend of mine. Hard working and totally dedicated to her craft. She has inspired me with the periodic sending of inspirational quotations through SMS that would brighten my day.

One day I received this quotation from her that says:

“When God solves your problems, you have faith in His abilities….when He doesn’t solve your problems He has faith in Your abilities. This made me think.

When we are placed in a fiery furnace of difficulties we take courage knowing that God’s Hand is on the temperature control.

Hindsight is always 20-20.

We can all look back today and realize that the most difficult situations we found ourselves in the past were the best moments when we learned the most and today you and I are stronger because of it.

Now people have different tolerance level for pain. And our Creator knows that. He will not give you something you cannot bear. Adversity is designed to strengthen us not to annihilate us.

Many if not all of the successful people today whether in business or in their respective professions are people who have been tempered with past challenges and adversities. Ask them and they will have tons of stories to tell.

And then I hear people say, but I just can’t help it. The temptation was just too strong to resist. What a cop out.

Adversities and temptations they are not the same. Do not put the two in the same league.

God’s Word says: No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

This is why the reason is illegitimate.

One thing I know is that over the years, God’s Hand has been upon me.

He made me learn lessons and strengthens me through my adversities and He carried me through the times of temptations. It’s all got to be in His Hands that makes the difference.

Somebody once illustrated this so beautifully saying:

A basketball in my hands is worth about $19. A basketball in Michael Jordan’s hands is worth about $33 million. It depends whose hands it’s in.

A baseball in my hands is worth about $6. A baseball in Mark McGuire’s hands is worth $19 million. It depends whose hands it’s in.

A tennis racket is useless in my hands. A tennis racket in Venus Williams’ hands is a Wimbledon Championship. It depends whose hands it’s in.

A rod in my hands will keep away a wild animal. A rod in Moses’ hands will part the mighty sea. It depends whose hands it’s in.

A sling shot in my hands is a kid’s toy. A sling shot in David’s hand is a mighty weapon.

It depends Whose hands it’s in.

Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish sandwiches. Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in God’s Hands will feed thousands. It depends Whose hands it’s in.

Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse. Nails in Jesus Christ’s hands will produce salvation for the entire world. It depends Whose hands it’s in.

Maybe your business is going down.

Maybe you have been robbed of that promised promotions.

Maybe your partner ran away with your money.

Maybe the people you used to love and trust and the same people today who are set out to destroy you.

At this point you may not have solutions. So just chill. Put yourself in God’s Hands and remember this: God will not allow any problem to come to you that cannot be a learning, a turning, or an earning experience.
