MALOLOS CITY – A P1.577-billion industrial park is set to rise in San Simon, Pampanga soon.
Documents obtained by The STAR show that the industrial park will be constructed in an 83-hectare lot over a period of five years.
Mayor Rodrigo Canlas of San Simon said the project will spur long term economic development in his town as it is expected to generate thousands of jobs.
He said the San Simon Industrial Park will have warehouses and factories.
Based on the site development plan, the industrial park offers at least 130 commercial lots. Lot sizes range from 3,000 to 5,000 square meters.
Vice Mayor David Dalisay said the industrial park will be strategically located just east of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and within the proximity of the San Simon toll plaza.
He said the project dovetails with the ongoing development in Central Luzon, notably the Subic-Clark Alliance Development (SCAD) which is projected as the transshipment hub.
Construction of the San Simon Industrial Park will be undertaken by the Choi Ventures and Home Development Inc. Funding for the project was facilitated by REBC Builders and Development Corp. represented by Rey Esplanada.
