The EC said it would be holding a series of activities this month in Manila under the framework of the European Commission-ASEAN Energy Facility (EAEF).
The EAEF aims to facilitate partnerships between South East Asian and European organizations in developing specific joint projects in the energy sector. There are nine ongoing EAEF projects in the Philippines.
On Aug. 16, a seminar on coal-fired power plants will be held at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel. It is part of an awareness campaign to help promote energy supply cooperation between industries and coal-fired power plants.
The project is implemented by Carl Bro International Sweden in consortium with National Power Corp. Philippines, A V. Garcia Power Systems Corp. and SwedPower Sweden.
On Aug. 22, an investment forum on rice husk-fired power plants will be held on at the Manila Hotel.
The investment forum will bring together the major stakeholders, investors, financial institutions, and technology providers for future implementation of rice husk-fired power plants.
On Aug. 26, a workshop on renewable energy will be held by Cagayan Electric Power and Light Co. Inc. (CEPALCO) at the Hyatt Hotel in Manila. Donnabelle Gatdula
