This new feature in mobile texting answers the need of SMS (Short Messaging Service) users to retrieve wrong sent messages and edit what they send.
"By registering to Yehba.com, mobile phone users can access this feature, schedule their sending of messages, click the encrypted option or recall them after sending," according to D3 Systems Inc. President Wilfredo A. Dela Cruz.
Philippine telecom companies, on the other hand, handle more than 200 million text messages per day, the highest in the world.
Yehba is a consumer platform that runs on GPRS developed by D3 Systems.
The company is part of the Philippine delegation to Singapores CommunicAsia this June.
The other delegation participants are Load.com.ph, Mannasoft Technologies, Chikka Asia, Globe Telecom, Innove Communications, PLDT and Smart.
Yehba plans to introduce text conferencing features into mobile phones in CommunicAsia.
With an activation cost of P2, mobile phone users can communicate in real time with two or more people via mobile phones, similar to chatrooms.
"We want to introduce a new mobile experience, new product concepts, and additional features to traditional SMS and fixed instant messaging," said Dela Cruz.
The Philippine participation to CommunicAsia is organized by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), the export promotion arm of the Department of Trade and Industry.
