The Board of Investments (BOI) has approved on a non-pioneer status the P130-million integrated logistics project of Lane Archive Technologies Corp.
Lane Archive Technologies is a subsidiary of Virginia Lane Moving & Storage, Inc.
The project involves the construction of a special-purposed building at the Laguna International Industrial Park (LIIP) with a controlled environment (temperature and humidity), fitted with mechanized racking and stacking system, fire protection system, reinforced and fire-proof vaults and computerized data base management system to provide real-time and on-line information of the records and documents.
Lane Archive Technologies applied for pioneer status as it would allegedly be the first of its kind activity in commercial scale to be put up in the country.
However, according to BOI managing head Elmer C. Hernandez, the BOI Board did not deem the project to be a new activity.
Lane Archive Technologies boasts that it will provide efficient and top-of-the-line services to its customers as the project would utilize the latest available technology in the industry.
These include global speed lock racking system, computerized data management system, third eye GPS-based mobile vehicle monitoring system, CCTV surveillance system, digital fire detection and control system and smoke and motion sensors and biometric keypad entry system.
Lane Archive Technologies Corp., which was formerly File Managers Inc., was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on April 29, 1994.
Its primary purpose is to engage in the business of files management including, but not limited to, safe-keeping, safe-guarding, storing, archiving, reproduction and certification of any document, writing, item or record of any kind or nature and in the business of storage and warehousing in general.
In 2002, the company was acquired by Virginia Lane Moving & Storage Inc., a 99.99-percent Filipino cargo moving company which continued its business of providing record storage keeping and retrieval.
In 2003, the companys name was change to Lane Archive Technologies Corp.
Its existing clients are Citibank, Makati Medical Center, Ayala Land, Caltex Asia, IBM Phils., Coca Cola Bottlers, Bank of America, Avon Cosmetics and American Express Bank.
