Our Palace Ear-spy heard that Robert Romulo, who was fired as Foreign Secretary by FVR, allegedly wants to replace his cousin Alberto Romulo as Executive Secretary. Bert Romulo has done well but is expected to resign soon for health reasons. Robert is said to be using his connection to Presidential daughter Luli Arroyo, who happens to work for him and his foundation. Wags are wondering: Does the position have to pass from one Romulo to another? Besides, don’t we have other people who are better qualified? This is clearly ambition in its most naked form.

Mystery Crime In Ayala Alabang

A few days ago, there was a report of a robbery and homicide that took place in Ayala Alabang Village. In an apparent attempt at a cover up, it was made to appear that it was a break-in. Actually, it turned out to be a heated argument among family members that turned violent. Our Ear-spies reported that one family member snapped and started to stab everyone in sight. Despite this family’s attempt to keep it hush-hush, the real story came out of the bag. This mystery crime now falls under the category of an unsolved mystery that has been uncovered by our Nightstalker. Local police authorities or perhaps the NBI should look into this crime that’s covered with blood.

Lady Dee With An Aura

Iñigo Zobel, our Spanish Spy-ring reported, is now working on settling Don Enrique Zobel’s estate in Spain. He has kept the peace in the family by ensuring that his mother, who was about to wage a legal War of the Widows over his father’s estate a month ago, got her fair share. As it turned out, the person responsible for the amicable settlement is a real Lady. "Whatever it is that you give me, I’ll be happy as long as there is peace in the family", Dee Hora, EZ’s long time companion reportedly said. Now that is a Lady Dee with an Aura.

Call Center Cornucopia

It is common knowledge that the call center industry is riding a boom right now. But we didn’t realize how good it can be even for entry level employees. A top Ear-spy was informed that a new graduate can make as much as P80,000 per month. Most graduates come from Ateneo, La Salle, UP, and the other top-drawer schools. They get a basic salary of P15,000. But what brings in the whopping P65,000 is the commissions they get from consummated sales. Hearing this, it certainly is not corny to be at the ground floor of any center. The industry is a virtual cornucopia. Last we heard, even S.A. was submitting his resumé to a call center.

Spy Tidbiz: Ten Little Indians

A village Spy-ring whispered that ten little Indians – of the 5-6 variety – have reportedly been buying houses in Magallanes Village shortly after the May 10 elections. If reports are true, close to 100 homes have been snapped up already by this Indian group of real estate speculators. It looks like these Indians are gearing up to be the latest high-profile nouveau riche in the country. It won’t be a surprise if Magallanes Village will be renamed Madjapahit Village sometime soon and only "Indian givers" will be allowed inside.
