Ate Vi: Anybody but Roco

Being a kept man (?), gossip columnist Victor Agustin has been desperately trying to ingratiate himself with one faction of the Illusorio family. He has been rather harsh on presidential candidate Raul Roco and his law firm, particularly Atty. Lorna Kapunan whos at the forefront of the legal battle for the Illusorio inheritance. If Raul Roco becomes president, Victor Agustin will definitely have a bruised behind but then again he may just like it!
This is a follow up to the rumors about another round of musical chairs in the Cabinet two weeks ago. Our DOTC and Palace ear-spies reported that that the plan to transfer Sec. Leandro Mendoza to the Department of National Defense (DND) has been aborted. Those closest to Mendoza said that he wasnt really keen on accepting the DND post. Palace sources disclosed that Mendozas appointment papers to DND have been prepared but remain unsigned because of GMAs apparent confidence in Sec. Ermita. But some hooded Palace faction is still moving and trying to get away with a few whispers here and there. But no matter how hard they try, it is apparent for the moment that the President is not about to drop Ermita like a hot potato. With Mendozas "benefactor" backing up another presidential candidate, GMA has no choice but to settle for what she has.
According to our Spybiz informants within the inner circle of the FPJ camp, during a meeting with his political leaders, Fernando Poe Jr. was visibly distraught and disturbed about the possible civil disturbance his supporters may make if the Supreme Court decides to disqualify him. FPJ said this is the last thing he wants for him to be the cause of any disturbance. According to columnist Randy David, a couple of years ago FPJ was one of those who approached him during the actual Labor Day siege of Malacañang, and offered to persuade Eraps followers not to push through with the civil unrest. Many of those who are familiar with FPJ know him to be a man of peace.
At a recent dinner party at Ambassador Lhuilliers residence, everyone was laughing and talking about the gossip columnist "Jukebox Queen Victoria" and how he adores Mar Roxas, whom he finds so attractive as "Mr. Suave." He is so captivated by Mar that he reportedly offered himself to be his "Mrs. Palengke."
