Graphic Expo 03 features imaging, printing experts

Experts in graphic design, print and web publishing, multimedia, animation, and video editing will hold a four-day seminar series at the "Graphic Expo 2003" slated at the Philtrade on June 4-7.
Offering a rare opportunity to learn and interact personally with the experts, the seminar series is designed to harness and upgrade the creative skills of photographers, digital artists, graphic arts service providers, print and IT professionals, webmasters, and multimedia specialists/animators in a comprehensive lecture-workshop.
Updates on the new technologies and features of digital photography, imaging, large format printing, publishing/video editing software, color management, and design-oriented workshops will be the major focus of most presentations.
To be highlighted in the seminar series are topics relevant to industry workflow processes and software mastery such as Photoshop 7.0. Advanced Photoshop Techniques, PDF Workflow for Print Production, Designing a Dynamic Logo System, Editing Essentials in Final Cut Pro 3.0, Flash Cartooning.
Color Management & Scanning Techniques, Inside Freehand MX, Whats New with Corel Draw 11, Design Essential for Desktop Publishing, Basics of Typography, Creating 3D Visualization with 3D Studio Max 5, Visual Effects with Combustion, Flash for Corporate Presentation, Audio-Visual Presentation from Script to Screen.
Integrating Illustrator & Photoshop, Designing Type with Illustrator, Professional retouching Techniques, Creating Explosive Web Graphics with Fireworks, Energizing Flash MX Project with Action Script, Web Animation Essentials, Tools, and Techniques, and The Making of Web Videos.
The seminar series will be conducted by mostly Adobe and Macromedia-certified and Apple Solutions experts and US-trained instructors who are industry practitioners themselves.
Comprising the panel of experts are Jun Miranda of Philippine Center for Creative Imaging, Bob Serrano of The Arrangement, Inc., Frankie Patriarca, Arthur Luccro of Blue Bar Animation, Jon Danao of Slingshot Interactive Inc., Marianne Young, Cherrie Pinpin, and Ronnie Millevo of DLSU College of St. Benilde.
During the exhibition, businessmen and industry professionals can visit, source, and upgrade printing and imaging equipment, hardware, tools, and latest state-of-the-art technologies of such key industry players as Epson, Hewlett-Packard, Fuji Film, YKL, Senco Link Technologies, Sony, Canon, and Gakken Philippines Corporation.
