Local motoring journalists, most of whom only get a cyberspace view of the all-new City and were eager to see the new model real close in order to appreciate the stunning dramatic change that it has undergone, attended the affair in full force.
To grace the occasion, no less than the chief operating officer of the Asia & Oceania Region and managing director of Honda Motor Co., Ltd and president and CEO of Asian Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Mr. Satoshi Toshida flew in from his home base in Thailand.
To complete the entourage of Japanese dignitaries from Honda who came in for the press launch was Mr.Takashi Saito, the large project leader of the New Honda City, meaning simply that he heads the overall design group for the City. The obviously shy engineer actually designed both the all-new City and its predecessor.
