A time for soul searching

The Lenten season is a time for reflection and taking stock. Not only is the concluding aggression of Iraq on our minds, but so too is our country’s agonizing journey towards a better life for its 82 million inhabitants.

The reality of death and suffering challenges us to do more to help the needy and those in pain, perhaps rather more than just focus on self-denial through fasting.
