A veteran stockbroker has endorsed the candidacy of the Reform ticket in the forthcoming Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) elections.
Irving Ackerman said the ticket, led by Alicia "Aleli" Arroyo and Rodolfo Cruz and William Ang, would be the most responsive leaders to the growing needs of the PSE.
Ackerman noted that the ticket of Arroyo, Cruz and Ang has proven their sensitivity to the needs of the brokers.
Ackerman pointed out that the Reform ticket has been responsible for the waiver of computer fees and the inclusion of PSE shares in the computation of net capital compliance for brokers.
He also cited the loan assistance project which was organized by Arroyos group as another program conceived by the ticket for the PSE.
Ackerman is a founding member of the Makati Stock Exchange and has been an observer of the PSE for almost 40 years. He authored one of the earliest books on the Philippine stock market.
Running with Arroyo, Ang and Cruz are Gregorio Kilayko, Marita Limlingan and Joseph Madrid.
