Alicia Rita Morales Arroyo is running for re-election as director of the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).
Arroyo has been actively serving as co-chairman of the strategic development committee and the audit committee of the PSE since she garnered the highest number of votes for a broker-director during the very first de-mutualized elections of the exchange last year.
She has helped organize investor awareness activities like the PSEs very first internationalizing reforms for the overall development of the exchange and the brokerage industry.
Arroyo is the daughter of the late Manuel Morales, who was a former chairman of Equitable Banking Corp.; four-term president of the Bankers Association of the Philippines and former Monetary Board member of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
Aside from her exposure to banking and finance, Arroyo had spent eight years in the brokerage industry.
