Teleserv, Aboitiz One expand express delivery service

- Marianne V. Go -
The express delivery service of Pilipinas Teleserv Inc. and Aboitiz One continues to expand.

Teleserv director for marketing, Raffy David, said the two company entered into a tie-up recently to undertake the Department of Foreign Affairs Passport Express Delivery project.

The Passport Express Delivery project, David said, serves first-time passport applicants, renewals as well as replacement of lost passports.

First-time passport applicants initially have to go to the DFA head office to file their application forms. The delivery service can then be availed of by the first-time applicant at the DFA so that he does not have to go back to the DFA to get his passport which will be delivered by Aboitiz One to the applicant’s home address.

Teleserv is a provider of teleservices solutions and call center-based services.

Aside from the DFA, Teleserv also provides delivery services for the National Statistics Office and McDonald’s fast food. In fact, David said that the NSO Helpline Plus recently served its one millionth customer.

Applications for birth, marriage or death certificates no longer have to be filed personally at the NSO offices. Instead, the applicant can call the NSO Helpline Plus at 737-1111 and, for a fee, the document is delivered to his home address within eight working days using the services of Aboitiz One.

The NSO Helpline, David said, averages 5,000 calls a day, 58 percent of which are from referrals and repeat customers. About half or 2,500 calls translate to actual transactions.
