Broadband Phils. expands capacity

-
Internet firm Broadband Philippines is expanding its capacity with a newly-acquired Digital Signal Level 3 connection from MCI WorldCom.

DS3 is a digital private line service with a capacity to transmit high volumes of information at speeds of 45 megabits per second (Mbps). DS3 adheres to an error-free performance objective.

"DS3 is our response to the market’s demand for a better, faster, and more reliable access to the Internet" said company chairman and chief executive officer Jose Perez de Venecia III.

De Venecia said that on top of a better broadband service that the customer will experience, "DS3 will allow us to be more competitive in terms of pricing and service to our clients."

"With this kind of technology backed up by Broadband Philippines’ 99.9-percent service level agreement, subscribers will be able to enjoy all the benefits that broadband technology can bring to their businesses.

"With our existing broadband wireless connection to the customer plus the recent purchase of a DS3 connection of Broadband Philippines’ to the Internet, we feel that this is the best service that customers should experience," he said.

"Broadband Philippines provides a wide range of telecommunication services such as corporate data solutions, Internet service, e-commerce solutions and voice services.
