NMPI’s assistant vice president for corporate planning Valentino de Leon said in a statement that the company is waiting for the Department of Labor and Employment’s final ruling on its stalled CBA negotiations but there is no clear indication as to when this decision will finally come out. "I hope it will be very soon," de Leon added.
"Right now, the plant is back at work, operating at normal capacity. Our parts and service operations are likewise back to normal. We are grateful to the public for its understanding and support during the strike period. During the strike, especially, we did everything to ensure that our dealer operations did not slack, in order not to inconvenience any of our customers," de Leon said.
The strike ended when the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Employment issued an order deputizing the PNP Laguna to secure, maintain and preserve free ingress at the NMPI compound.
