Forum tackles palm oil industry

The palm oil industry its prospects for jobs creation, investment generation and effect on the Philippine coconut industry will be the topic of the 2nd Philippine Agricultural Journalists (PAJ) forum to 10 a.m. today at the Paseo Restaurant, along Visayas Avenue, in Quezon City.
Guests include Agriculture Undersecretary for Field Operations Ernesto Ordoñez, newly-appointed Presidential Adviser on Jobs Creation Luis P. Lorenzo Jr., Philippine Coconut Authority Administrator Danilo Coronacion and Romeo Royandoyan, a vocal critic of the palm oil plans of the Arroyo administration, executive director of the Philippine Peasant Institute.
The forum is a project of the PAJ which is headed by Roman Floresca, assistant business editor and agribusiness editor of the Philippine STAR.
