Asias leading and only regional Internet solutions provider Pacific Internet has installed in the Philippines an online facility for billing and payment services.
This means subscribers can see their monthly bills and make hassle-free payments online through the Pacific Internet Philippines website.
Initially, the online payment facility will be open to Pacific Internet subscribers with Unionbank accounts, and later with other banks.
With this facility, Pacific Internets corporate and individual subscribers need not issue checks or fall in line in banks to make payments. All they have to do is view their on-line monthly statement and immediately pay via the online payment facility.
Online payment is one of Pacific Internets latest service innovations for its growing subscriber base, which is the largest in the Philippines.
But with the countrys biggest bandwidth and the largest pool of dial-up phone lines, Pacific Internet can support the entire Philippine Internet market and still has room for more.
"Our multiple fiber-optic terrestrial and satellite links bring in the largest Internet capacity for an ISP," said Pacific Internet Philippines president Jojie Yap.
Citing the new online payment facility, Yap added: "As we build our business on quality service and a trusted brand, we shall also continue building and strengthening our relationships with our customers."
Only recently, Pacific Internet won Telecom Asia Best Asian ISP title for the third consecutive year, besting SingNet of Singapore and Netvigator of Hong Kong.
Pacific Internet also won the "Best ISP in Singapore" award in 1997, 1998 and 1999 from ComputerWorld.
