Concepcion-Carrier allots P591M for new expansion

The Concepcion-Carrier Air Conditioning Co. has allocated P591 million for the expansion of its manufacturing operations. It has applied for registration of its expansion plan on a non-pioneer status with the Board of Investments (BOI).

Concepcion-Carrier has an existing capacity is 125,000 units and it will be expanding it by 75,000 units for a total capacity of 200,000 units.

The company is committed to export 50 percent of its production.

Concepcion-Carrier is 61 percent owned by Carrier Air Conditioning Phils. Inc. and 49 percent by the Concepcion family-owned Concepcion Airconditioning Corp.

It is currently engaged in the manufacture, sale, distribution, installation and service of heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) products and provision of HVAC services.

Based on its projected expansion cost, Concepcion-Carrier will spend P271 million to acquire machinery and equipment and P20 million for installation costs.

Its working capital will be P50 million while P250 million is allocated for the construction of a new plant and warehouse.

The company’s existing operation is located at the Light and Science Park in Cabuyao, Laguna and its expansion project will be housed in the same building. Marianne Go
