NPC’s Meet the Press tackles power bill

The National Press Club’s Meet the Press forum will have for its topic, "The Power Reform Measure - the Final Word," today.
Invited as guests for the luncheon forum which will be held at the NPC Bldg. on Magallanes Drive, Intramuros are Sen. John Osmeña, chairman of the Senate committee on energy, Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile, Energy Secretary Jose Isidro Camacho, Reps. Arnulfo Fuentebella and Florencio Butch Abad and Meralco vice president for utility and economics Rudy Quetua.
Also expected to attend are leaders of various sectors like Makati Business Club executive director Guillermo Luz, Philippine Rural Electric Cooperative Association president Rizalino Culalic, National Association of Electricity Consumers for Reforms, Inc., president Pete Ilagan, and a representative of the Center for Free Legal Counsel.
With tri-media coverage, Meet the Press is being covered live by PBS/Radyo ng Bayan under a nationwide hook-up. Manila Bulletin editor-in-chief Ben Rodriguez will act as a moderator.
The NPC Meet the Press was re-launched last Friday as regular media forum that tackles some of the hottest issues in the country. It is one of the numerous projects of the new administration of the National Press Club under the leadership of club president Louie T. Logarta.
Committee chairman is Jim Bilasano, who is also NPC treasurer. Assisting him are NPC director Lolit Acosta and Ros Sta. Cruz as co-chairpersons. Members are Reuben Yambot, John Khoe, and Dandy Seva of GMA 7.
