Cyberworld opens outlets in 3 cities

Cyberworld, the Internet cafe brand of Philweb.com Inc., recently opened three new outlets in Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and Davao cities.

Envisioned as a one-stop Internet shop, Cyberworld outlets offer both dial up and broadband Internet access as well as Internet games and cyber stores which showcase the latest Internet equipment and gadgets.

Philweb.com president Alex Villamar said "our aim is toe expand quickly the availability of Internet access in the country by offering affordable rates in strategic locations."

"We believe that access to the Internet will be provided largely by Internet cafes in the near future," he added.

Villamar revealed that Cyberworld is one of the arrowheads of Philworld.com’s expansion strategy.

"As we continue to open more points-of-presence all over the country, we will be opening more cyberworld outlets," Villamar said.

Now under construction are Cyberworld outlets in Laguna, Bulacan, Batangas, Tarlac, Pampanga and Las Piñas City.

Philworld.com is expected to set up at least 10 new Cyberworld outlets a month.

In addition to its company-owned outlets, Philweb.com has 23 Cyberworld franchise operators.
