Honda launches 4-wheel drive sedan

This May, Honda Cars Philippines Inc. adds another revolutionary vehicle to its roster of models, the HR-V. Dubbed the High-Rider Vehicle or HR-V, the new vehicle is a next-generation sedan complete with 4x4 features. The HR-V is the recreational four-wheel drive housing a 1.6 liter, hyper 16-valve engine based on the J-WJ concept car first seen at last year's Tokyo Motor Show. the HR-V also has the Real Time Four-Wheel Drive system found in the popular CR-V. The Real Time four-Wheel Drive unique to honda adopts simple hydraulics to detect simple slip in the front wheels and activates a hydraulic clutch to provide four-wheel traction when required. As with the CR-V, the HR-V drives only the front wheels in normal driving condition but when needed in slippery conditions, four wheel traction is instantly provided.
