The Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) honored recently five participating financial institutions (PFIs) as its most outstanding countryside partners in the bank's annual Countryside Loan Fund (CLF) and Agricultural Loan Fund (ALF) awarding ceremonies held at the Makati Sports Club recently.
Adjudged this year's outstanding PFIs were: Rang-ay Rural Bank for the rural bank category; Hermosa Savings and Loan Bank for the thrift bank category (countryside based); Planters Development Bank for the thrift bank category (Metro Manila based); Equitable PCIBank for the commercial bank category; and All Asia Capital and Trust Corp. for non-bank financial institution category.
The awards considered the performance of PFIs for 1999 covering all four wholesale programs of LBP, namely: the Countryside Loan Fund 1, the Countryside Loan Fund 2 and the Countryside Loan Fund 3; and the Agricultural Loan Fund.
These were based on a set of criteria which included the number of subprojects assisted, total amount of loan availments, regional dispersal of projects, industry distribution and overall efficiency in complying with program guidelines.
