Barko ng China, naitaboy ng PCG
MANILA, Philippines — Matagumpay na naitaboy ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ang isa sa mga barko ng China na ilegal na pumasok sa teritoryo ng Pilipinas.
Sa isang pahayag ng PCG, naitaboy pa ng BRP Teresa Magbanua ang Chinese Coast Guard (CCG) vessel CCG-3304 palayo sa Zambales coast.
Ang naturang Chinese vessel ay tinatayang nasa 100 to 105 nautical miles na ang layo sa lugar.
“Despite CCG-3304’s assertions that it is patrolling within China’s maritime jurisdiction and its refusal to recognize the arbitral award, the BRP Teresa Magbanua has persistently emphasized that the Chinese vessel lacks legal authority and is, in fact, violating the Philippine Maritime Zones Act, the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), and the 2016 arbitral award,” anang PCG.
Samantala, patuloy pa rin namang minomonitor ng PCG ang tatlo pang Chinese vessels na nasa karagatang sakop ng Zambales.
