MANILA, Philippines — Kapwa nakalusot sa makapangyarihang Commission on Appointments sina DILG Secretary Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla at Civil Service Commission (CSC) Chairperson Marilyn Barua-Yap.

Walang miyembro ng CA ang bumoto laban sa pagtatalaga kay Remulla bilang DILG chief maging sa kumpirmasyon ni Barua-Yap.

Noong Oktubre 8, inihayag ng Palasyo ang pagtatalaga kay Remulla bilang bagong pinuno ng DILG.

Si Remulla, kapatid ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, ang pumalit kay dating DILG chief Benjamin Abalos Jr., na nagbitiw para tumakbong senador sa May 2025 elections.

Itinalaga naman nj Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa posisyon si Barua-Yap noong Oktubre 16. Magtatapos ang termino ni Barua-Yap sa Pebrero 2, 2029.
