2 Indonesian choppers dumating na, tutulong sa PAFs relief operations

MANILA, Philippines — Dumating na ang dalawa pang Indonesian helicopters sa Villamor Air Base, Pasay City para tumulong sa isinasagawang humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations (HADR) ng Philippine Air Force (PAF) sa mga lugar na sinalanta ng bagyong Kristine at super typhoon Leon.

Ayon kay PAF spokesperson Col. Ma. Consuelo Castillo, ang Indonesian M117V5 at H-225 M helicopters mula sa Indonesian National Armed Forces ay dumating sa Villamor Air Base.

“With the arrival of these helicopters, the PAF’s aerial relief capabilities are further strengthened, enabling more efficient delivery of much-needed relief supplies to remote and inaccessible areas,” saad ni Castillo.

Sinalubong naman ng mga opisyal ng PAF ang nasabing mga helicopters kung saan ang okasyon ay dinaluhan ni Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia His Excellency Agus Widjojo, Lt. Col Adam Hardiman, Mission Commander ng Indonesian Armed Forces at iba pang mga opisyal ng pamahalaan.

Ayon kay Castillo, apat na bansa sa Asya na kinabibilangan ng Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei at Indonesia ang sumuporta sa HADR mission ng Pilipinas sa mga lugar na matinding binayo ng kalamidad.
