Quad comm findings ‘di ipapadala sa ICC — Palasyo

MANILA, Philippines — Walang balak ang Pilipinas na muling bumalik sa pagiging miyembro ng International Criminal Court (ICC).

Ito ang sinabi ni ­Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin matapos ang panawagan ni Attorney Krissy Conti, National Union of People’s Lawyers at ICC-accredited assistant counsel na isumite sa ICC ang investigation materials ng House of Representatives quad committee kaugnay sa imbestigasyon sa anti-drug war campaign ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Matatandaan na sa pagdinig ng quad comm, sinabi ni dating PNP Colonel Royina Garma na nagpapahanap si Duterte ng isang opisyal na pulis na magsasagawa ng anti-drug operation ng kagaya sa Davao model operation na magbibigay ng pabuya sa mga makapapatay sa drug suspect.

Ayon kay Bersamin, hindi na mababago ang pasya ni Pangulong Marcos na tuluyang talikuran ang ICC.

“The Philippines will not return to ICC. Based on this, the president is not expected to change his mind and now refer the quadcom matter to the ICC,” pahayag pa ni Bersamin.

Magugunita na taong 2019 nang kumalas ang Pilipinas sa ICC.
