AFP hihingi ng saklolo sa US sa RoRe mission ‘pag gutom na mga tropa

MANILA, Philippines — Hihingi lang ng saklolo ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) sa Estados Unidos sa Rotation and Resupply (RoRe) Mission kapag gutom na at nasa bingit na ng kamatayan ang tropa ng Pilipinas na nagbabantay sa West Philippine Sea (WPS).

“When our troops are already hungry, we don’t have any supplies anymore because our resupply missions have been blocked and that they are on the verge of dying, then that’s the time we are going to seek the help of the United States,” sabi ni AFP Chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. matapos alukin ng tulong ni US Pacific Command Chief Admiral Samuel Paparo na bumisita sa bansa.

Sa kasalukuyan, ay may mga opsiyon pa naman umano ang AFP na bagaman ilang beses na hinarang ng China Coast Guard (CCG) ang supplies na dadalhin sa BRP Teresa Magbanua sa Escoda Shoal ay hindi tumigil ang RoRe mission.

Anya, gagawin lahat ng AFP ang makakaya nito sa tulong ng PCG at kung hindi na kayanin ay saka lamang sila hihingi ng tulong sa Estados Unidos.

“We stand ready…Certainly within the context of consultations, every option between two sovereign nations in terms of our mutual defense escort of the, escort of one vessel to the other is an entirely reasonable option within our Mutual Defense Treaty,” sabi pa ng US Indo Pacific Commander.
