MANILA, Philippines — Binansagang “tunay na oportunista” ni Antipolo Rep. Romeo Acop si Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa bilang sagot sa banat ng huli sa mga kongresista.

Binuweltahan ni Acop ang patutsada ni Dela Rosa na tinawag na mga walang prinsipyo at mga oportunista ang mga Kongresista na bumabatikos sa drug war ng nakalipas na administrasyon.

“If anyone is the real opportunist, it’s Sen. Dela Rosa, who shamelessly used his ties with the former president to rise from PNP chief to senator, leading a bloody drug war that targeted the powerless while shielding the powerful,” ani Acop na isa ring dating PNP general na naging hepe ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).

“Don’t act like a K9 of the previous administration. Prio­ritize the country’s interests and the general welfare of the people,” ani Acop.

Pinamumunuan ni Acop ang quadruple joint committee na nag-iimbestiga sa posibleng kaugnayan ng Philippine Offshore  Gaming Ope­rators (POGOs) sa illegal drug trade, extrajudicial killings at iba pang krimen.

Sa pagharap ni dating Customs Intelligence Officer Jimmy Guban, idinawit nito sina Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte, mister ni Vice Pres. Sara Duterte na si Atty. Manases Carpio, at dating Economic Adviser na si Michael Yang na nasa likod umano ng shipment ng P11 bilyong shabu na itinago sa magnetic lifter sa Manila International Container Port noong 2018.
