Pangulong Marcos itinulak joint military exercises sa Australian forces

MANILA, Philippines — Nais ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na ituloy ang joint military exercises sa Australian forces.

Ito ang sinabi ni Marcos matapos na personal na saksihan ang amphibious assault exercises ng tatlong pwersa ng bansa sa San Antonio, Zambales.

Layon umano ng joint military exercises na mapalakas pa ang kapabilidad ng Pilipinas at Australia kaya nais niya itong talakayin kay Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese sa pagbisita dito sa bansa sa susunod na buwan.

Iginiit pa ni Marcos na maganda ang koordinasyon lalo na ‘pag sa military at napakalaki ng multiplier effect kaya mahalaga na ituloy ito.

Tiwala naman ang Pangulo na magiging mabunga ang kanilang pag-uusap ni Albanese.

Nabatid na ang Amphibious and Land Operation (ALON) bilateral training ay mula sa pwersa ng Armed Forces of the Philippines, Australian Defense Force at united States Marine Corps.

Ito ang ikalawa sa tatlong field training exercises sa ilalim ng Indo-Pacific Edeavor: ALON 2023 para mapaigting ang kakayahan sa maritime, aphibious at land operations.

Lumahok sa bilateral exercises ang nasa 2,400 na mga sundalo, 900 mula sa AFP, 150  mula sa US forces at 1,200 mula sa Australian forces.

“And I’m sure that we will come up with some new strategies and some new ideas, agreements, and in terms of partnerships between our two countries.  And of course, the security and defense which are going to be part of that, but that will be one part of many things that we will be discussing,” ayon pa sa Pangulo.
