Angelo Jimenez, bagong UP president
MANILA, Philippines — Itinalaga ng University of the Philippines (UP) Board of Regents si faculty regent Angelo Jimenez bilang ika- 22 president ng University of the Philippines.
“Beginning in 2023, the former Duterte-appointed UP regent will serve a six-year term as chief officer of the nation’s premier state university,” ayon pa sa FB page ng Tinig ng Plaridel, ang official publication ng UP Mass communication
Si Jimenez ay papalit kay outgoing UP President Danilo Concepcion na matatapos ang termino sa February 2023.
Ang ibang nominado ng board sa pagka-Presidente ng UP ay sina UP Diliman chancellor Fidel Nemenzo, dating UP Los Baños chancellor Fernando Sanchez Jr., Catanduanes State University president Patrick Alain Azanza, dating 1-Edukasyon representative Salvador Belaro Jr., at dating UP Diliman vice chancellor for research and development Benito Pacheco.
