Angat Buhay NGO naghahanda ng reklamo vs red-tagging sa kanilang grupo
MANILA, Philippines — Naghahanda na ng reklamo ang Angat Buhay non-government organization ni dating Bise Presidente Leni Robredo laban sa dating tagapagsalita ng National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict — matapos uling iugnay sa Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army.
Ito ang sabi ni Angat Pinas, Inc. Executive Director Raphael Martin Magno, Biyernes, sa isang Facebook post dahil sa mga pinagsasabi ni noo'y NTF-ELCAC spokesperson for social media affairs and sectoral concerns na si Lorraine Badoy.
"We strongly condemn and unequivocally deny the allegations made by Lorraine Badoy against Angat Buhay last 04 July 2022 in a cable television program," ani Magno kanina.
"As soon as our attention was called to the matter, we referred the same to our lawyers who are now in the process of preparing possible legal actions to protect the integrity of our organization and our work and, more so, to protect our volunteers and partners."
Hindi ito ang unang beses na sinampahan ng reklamo si Badoy kaugnay ng pag-uugnay sa sari-saring progresibong grupo at kritiko ng gobyerno sa komunistang rebolusyon.
Marso lang nang kasuhan siya sa Ombudsman patungkol sa kanyang pahayag patulong sa 26 aktibista, estudyante at religious groups.
Humaharap din siya sa isang admin complaint matapos iugnay si Robredo sa CPP-NPA-National Democratic Front of the Philippines, maliban pa sa reklamo dahil sa red-tagging ng ilang healthcare workers.
Ika-1 lang ng Hulyo nang i-launch nina Robredo ang Angat Buhay NGO, na layong maging pinakamalaking volunteer network sa kasaysayan ng bansa para tulungan ang mga nasa laylayan ng lipunan.
"Her claims are utterly baseless and completely false, and worse, encourage the harassment of our staff members, volunteers, and partners," wika pa ni Magno.
"To our friends and supporters, rest assured that we are not taking this sitting down. We will not allow these efforts to sabotage our work to prosper. The time to stand up to fake news and hold its purveyors to account is now. As with our Chairperson, former Vice President Leni Robredo, our word is our bond. Thank you for standing with us."
Itutuloy naman daw nila ang kanilang trabaho nbilang NGO upang i-empower ang marginalized communities at sectors sa gitna ng kahirapan.
Sa kasaysayan, maraming aktibista ang naha-harass, nakukulong o minsa'y napapatay pa nga matapos i-red tag ng mga opisyal ng gobyerno.
Anong bang sinabi ni Badoy?
Sa nasabing panayam, sinabi ni Badoy na "marami" raw sa mga kabataang sumali sa Angat Buhay ay hindi na umuwi ng bahay, na tila pag-imply na sumapi na rin sila sa armadong pakikibaka.
"They really are working overtime with their recruitment... The people behind the Angat Buhay is CPP-NPA-NDF," sabi ng kontrobersyal na opisyal.
"In fact, they are now in social media, mga nanay na naghahanap ng mga anak nila na wala na... hindi na nila makita at sumali ng 'Leni Youth.'"
Kanina lang nang sabihin ng National Security Council, isang ahensya ng gobyerno, na tinatalikuran na nila ang practice ng red-tagging, habang sinasabing dapat mag-ingat ang gobyerno.
Una nang sinabi ni National Security Adviser Clarita Carlos na dapat na itong tigilan lalo na't "unproductive" daw ito.
