P1.6 bilyon nalikom ng Project Ugnayan para sa mahihirap laban sa COVID

MANILA, Philippines  — Inihayag ng Project Ugnayan na binubuo ng mga top business groups sa kooperasyon ng Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) at Caritas Manila, na umabot na sa P1.6 bilyon ang total ng ‘pledged donations’  na ‘in cash’ at ‘in kind.’

Ayon kay Guillermo Luz, project spokesperson at Chiefl Resilience Officer ng Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation, dahil sa mga suportang natanggap nila, magagawa nila ang paunang target na tulungan ang isang mil­yon hanggang 1.5 milyong pamilya at mapaiba ang buhay ng 7.5 milyong individual resident na naapektuhan ng enhanced community quarantine sa Metro Manila.

Layunin anya ng pro­yekto na mapagka­looban ng P1,000 halaga ng grocery vouchers ang mga mahihirap na pamilya na hindi makapagtrabaho dahil sa ipinatutupad na ‘enhanced community quarantine.

Ang ‘first wave’ ng donasyon na natanggap ng Ugnayan Project ay mula sa Aboitiz Group, ABSCBN/First Gen, Alliance Global Group & Megaworld, Ayala Corporation & Zobel Family, AY Foundation & RCBC, Bench/Suyen Corp, Century Pacific, Concepcion Industrial, DMCI Group of Companies, Gokongwei Group of Companies/Robinsons Retail Holdings, ICTSI, Jollibee, Leonio Group, Mercury Drug Corporation, Metrobank, Nutri-Asia, Oishi/Liwayway Marketing Group, PLDT/Metro Pacific Investments Corporation, Puregold, Ramon S. Ang & Family, SM/BDO, Sunlife of Canada, at Unilab.

Nakatanggap din ng karagdagang donors mula sa AlphaLand, Cebuana Lhullier, Chito Madrigal Foundation, Coca Cola, Glorious Commercial Exports, Inc., FEU, First Life Financial Company, Focus Global, One Meralco Foundation, Penshoppe, PepsiCo/PepsiCo Foundation, Shang Properties, Inc., at TAO Corporation.
