Sereno kailangan nang mawala sa Korte Suprema – Duterte

MANILA, Philippines — Kahit itinangging may kinalaman siya sa impeachment ni Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, iniutos ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ngayong Lunes sa Kongreso na madaliin ang pagpapatalsik sa punong mahistrado.

Bago umalis patungong China, sinabi ni Duterte na masama para sa bansa si Sereno.

“I am putting on notice that I am now your enemy. And you have to be out of the Supreme Court,” pahayag ni Duterte.

"I am asking the Congress, what’s taking you too long? Do not create any crisis in this country. I will not hesitate to do what is to the best interest of my country. If it calls for your forced removal, I will do it," dagdag niya.

Nanawagan din siya kay House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez na madaliin ang impeachment ni Sereno, habang sinuportahan din niya ang quo warranto petition na inihain ni Solicitor General Jose Calida laban sa punong mahistrado.

“I already told you Sereno that I did not meddle. If you are insisting, then count me in. Count me in and I will egg Calida [on] to do his best,” patuloy ni Duterte.

Tila napikon si Duterte sa pahayag ni Sereno na may nasa likod ng paghahain ng impeachment ng abogadong si Larry Gadon laban sa kaniya.

"Hindi nyo matatanggi na mayroong kamay na gumalaw behind this. Paulit ulit ko mang sabihin, Mr.President kung sinabi mong wala kang kinalaman dito, pakipaliwanag po bakit si Solgen Calida na nagre-report sayo ang nagfile nitong quo warranto," sabi ni Sereno.

Pinabulaanan na noon ni Gadon ang haka-hakang inutusan siya ni Duterte na pabagsakin sa pwesto si Sereno.
