396 na tiklo sa gun ban

MANILA, Philippines – Umakyat na sa 396 katao ang nasakote ng Philippine National Police dahil sa paglabag sa election gun ban.

Sinabi ni PNP spokesperson Chief Superintendent Wilben Mayor na karamihan sa mga nahulihan ng armas ay pawang mga sibilyan.

Sa naturang bilang ay 381 ang sibilyan, dalawang pulis, tatlong government officials, tatlong miyembro ng Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, anim na security guard, isa tauhan ng law enforcement agency at isang miyembro ng Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit.

Lumobo na rin ang mga nakumpiskang baril sa 254, 2,381 matalim na armas, 14 granada, isang pampasabg, walong firearm replicas at 2,358 iba’t ibang bala.

Nagsimula nitong Enero 10 ang gun ban upang matiyak ang ligtas at mapayapang halalan.

“Police Director General Ricardo Marquez, assures that the PNP will remain vigilant in its law enforcement and security operations to ensure Safe and Fair Election,” sabi ni Mayor.

Matatapos ang pagpapatupad ng gun ban sa Hunyo 8, isang buwan pagkatapos ng araw ng halalan.
