BI chief Mison sinibak ni PNoy!
MANILA, Philippines – Sinibak ni Pangulong Aquino si Bureau of Immigration Commissioner Siegfred Mison at itinalaga si Atty. Ronaldo Geron Jr.
“According to Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr., President Aquino has appointed Atty. Ronaldo A. Geron, Jr. as Commissioner of the Bureau of Immigration effective 06 January 2016,” pahayag ni Communications Sec. Sonny Coloma kahapon.
Pinalitan si Mison sa puwesto matapos lumabas ang resulta ng imbestigasyon ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) na may pananagutan siya sa apat na beses na pagtakas sa kustodiya ng BI ng Korean fugitive na si Cho Sendae.
Sinabi naman ni Coloma na si Geron ay nagsilbing Deputy Executive Secretary for Finance & Administration sa Office of the President mula noong 2010.
Mahigit 20 taon na aniya si Geron sa serbisyo-publiko, kasama ang termino niya bilang provincial administrator ng Batangas at miyembro ng provincial board.
Nagtapos si Geron sa University of the Philippines College of Law noong 1987 at nakapasa sa Bar Exam noong 1988.
