6 COA auditors pinasisibak ng Ombudsman sa kuwestiyonableng bonus
MANILA, Philippines – Iniutos ng Office of the Ombudsman ngayong Biyernes ang pagpapasibak sa anim na auditors ng Commission on Audit (COA) para sa kasong grave misconduct sa kuwestiyonableng bonus mula sa Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) noong 2006 hanggang 2010.
Bawal nang humawak ng anumang pwesto sa gobyerno sina state auditors Juanito Daguno Jr., Proceso Saavedra, Teresita Tam, Corazon Cabotage, Evangeline Sison at Vilma Tiongson.
Dahil sa kaso ay wala na rin matatanggap na benepisyo ang mga nasibak na auditors.
Tanggal din sa pwesto ang data machine operators na sina Violeta Gamil at Roberto Villa.
Samantala, pinasususpinde naman ng anim na buwan na walang tatanggaping suweldo sina LWUA executives Lorenzo Jamora, Wilfredo Feleo, Orlando Hondrade at Daniel Landingin dahil sa simple misconduct.
Lumabas sa imbestigasyon na inaprubahan ng LWUA executives ang pagpapalabas ng mga tseke para sa kwestiyonableng bonus ng mga tauhan ng LWUA at COA na nagkakahalaga ng P25 milyon.

"Their patent disregard of the existing policy of their own institution against the practice of receiving additional compensation cannot be deemed a mere lapse of judgment. Respondents, being state auditors and employees of COA itself, are presumed to know the prohibition," nakasaad sa resolusyon.
