Globe, HOOQ partner sa video-on-demand service

MANILA, Philippines – Nagsanib puwersa ang Globe Telecom at HOOQ,ang Asia’s video-on-demand service para sa isang start-up joint venture sa pagitan ng Singtel, Sony Pictures Television at Warner Bros. Entertainment, sa mga customer ng Globe ng unlimited online streaming access at offline viewing option ng mga Hollywood at Filipino movie at television content, sa pamamagitan ng anumang device, kabilang ang computers, smartphones at tablets.

Maaaring makapanood ang mga Pinoy ng mahigit sa 10,000 Hollywood movies at television episodes at TV shows.

Mapapanood din ang local film at TV shows sa pakikipagtambalan sa top studios ng bansa, tulad ng GMA, Viva Communications,Regal Entertainment at ABS-CBN.

“Across the emerging economies,people have amazing stories and love stories.However, a few billion people have no quality way of seeing the best stories from Hollywood or their local market.HOOQ will change that. HOOQ will change the way people in emerging markets consume and enjoy entertainment,” pahayag ni HOOQ Chief Executive Officer Peter G. Bithos.

Bilang pagkilala sa kahalagahan ng video-on-demand services na inihahatid sa mga consumer, sinabi naman ni Ernest Cu, President and CEO ng Globe Telecom na ang Globe ay magkakaloob sa mga customer nito ng kakayahang mag-download ng HOOQ, na nakatakdang maging available sa mga custo­mer sa plan-based service sa halagang P199 kada buwan para sa access sa libu-libong pelikula.

Mas mura ito sa ticket na binibili para sa isang pelikula lamang. Iaalok din ito bilang bundled service sa GoSURF at Tattoo broadband services ng telco. Matapos ilunsad sa Pilipinas, ang HOOQ ay ilalatag sa buong Asia.
