Pilipino Star Ngayon

MANILA, Philippines —  Hindi pinalusot ng Office of the Ombudsman ang kagustuhang maging sate witness ni Janet Lim-Napoles, ang itinuturong nasa likod ng pork barrel scam.

Sa kautusan ni Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales ngayong Huwebes ay sinabi niyang hindi maaaring maging testigo si Napoles dahil siya ang  mukhang "most guilty of all respondents."

"In a separate letter dated June 4, 2014, Ombudsman Morales denied respondent Janet Napoles’ request for immunity for likewise not meeting the qualifications to become an immune witness," nakasaad sa pahayag ni Morales.

"There is no absolute necessity for their respective testimonies, and there are other direct evidence available, both testimonial and documentary, for the proper prosecution of the offenses committed," sabi pa ni Morales sa 16-pahinang kautusan.
