MWSS employees umapela kay PNoy
MANILA, Philippines - Hiniling ng mga empleyado ng Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) kay PaÂngulong Aquino na palitan na nito si MWSS Administrator Gerardo Esquivel at iba pang opisyal dahil sa pagkakasangkot umano sa anomalya at corruption sa ahensiya.
Sinabi ni MWSS Labor Association leader Napoleon Quinoñes, ang patuloy na pananatili ni Esquivel ay hindi na nararapat dahil kinasuhan na ito mismo ng mga empleyado sa Office of the Ombudsman.
“We hope the President will keep his word when he promised genuine reforms in his administration, and that if his allies are doing things that are not in line with his reform agenda, the President should not hesitate to hold them accountable,†wika ni Quiñones.
Aniya, nasa 11 graft cases ang naisampa ng mga empleyado laban kay Esquivel sa tanggapan ng Ombudsman.
Kabilang sa reklamo ang illegal umano na pagkuha ni Esquivel ng mga consultants na naglalakihan ang mga suweldo at pagkuha nito sa 21 estudyante sa ilalim ng MWSS Special Program for Employment noong nakaraang taon.
