Shabu lab sa Ayala Alabang pinaiimbestigahan sa Senado

MANILA, Philippines - Balak ni Senator Manny Villar na paimbestigahan sa Senado ang posibleng pagkakasala sa batas ng pamilya ni dating Sen. Jamby Madrigal matapos parentahan ang property sa Ayala, Alabang na ginawang pabrika ng shabu ng mga umupang Chinese nationals.

Nais ni Villar sa inihaing Senate Resolution No. 686 na imbestigahan ng Senate committee on public order and illegal drugs ang modus operandi na ginagamit ng mga drug syndicates upang makapasok at mapakapag-renta sa mga exclusive at gated villages.

Ayon kay Villar, dapat ding silipin kung dapat ng amiyendahan ang Republic Act No. 9165 o ang Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 upang mas mapalakas pa ang nasabing batas.

Matatandaan na ni- raid ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency noong Enero 6, 2012 ang isang bahay sa Ayala, Alabang na ginawang shabu laboratory ng mga umupang Intsik.

Nakakuha ang PDEA ng halos isang truck na mga drug paraphernalia at equipment mula sa “me­dium-scale” laboratory.

Pawang mga nangga­ling umano sa Hong Kong ang mga nahuling limang Chinese tenants sa pro­perty ay pagmamay-ari ng Fuerte Holdings, isang kumpanya na kinokontrol ng namayapang philanthropist na si Consuelo Madrigal-Collantes.

“The fact that these properties were rented from private corporations and individuals who are members of the respective homeowners associations shows a need to revisit the security protocols and homeowners association guidelines of these exclusive villages,”pahayag ni Villar sa kaniyang resolusyon.
