Construction firm kinasuhan ng BIR

MANILA, Philippines - Kinasuhan ng tax fraud ng  Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) sa  Department of Justice (DOJ) ang DQT Builders Corporation, isang cons­truction company gayundin kinasuhan ng criminal ang mga opisyal nito na sina  Chairman/President Engr.  Domingo Tan  and Chief Financial Officer Rosalina Tan dahil sa di pagbabayad ng tamang buwis sa pamahalaan.

Ang DQT na nasa Merchan St. Lucena City Quezon bukod sa negos­yong construction ay en­gaged din ito sa  enlarging, repairing, deve­loping  buildings, house & condominium, roads, plants, bridges, airfields, pier, waterworks, railroads at iba pang structures.

Ayon sa BIR, na overstayed na ang expenses ng kumpanya para sa ITR noong 2007  at nag­saad ng fictitious purchases na may hala­gang P70.27 milyon dahil walang maipakitang sales invoices para dito.

Nagawa umano ng mga Tan na maibaba ang kanilang income tax at VAT liabilities. Mayroong P76.52 milyong tax deficiency kasama na ang surcharges at interest para sa taxable year 2007.

Samantala, kinasuhan din ng criminal ng BIR ang isang Joaquin Moreno, may-ari ng Juan Carlo Salon.
