Briton drug-convict binigyan ng pardon ni Aquino, 4 pa na-commute ang sentensya

MANILA, Philippines - Pinagkalooban ng conditional pardon ni Pa­ngulong Benigno Aquino III ang isang Briton na convicted sa drug case.

Sinabi ni Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte, ang binigyan ng conditional pardon with voluntary deportation ay si William Robet Burton.

Si Burton ay convicted sa drug trafficking ng Pasay City Regional Trial Court at nahatulan ng habambuhay na pagkakakulong subalit binigyan ito ng conditional pardon with voluntary deportation ng Pangulong Aquino nitong Dec. 21.

Hindi na maaaring makabalik ng bansa si Burton na nakasaad sa kanyang conditional pardon bukod sa pagbabayad ng P20,000 multa.

Bukod dito, ang nabigyan din naman ng commutation of sentence ng Pa­ngulo nitong Kapaskuhan na preso ay sina Antonio Aure, Aurelio Nartatez, Edy Paneza at Alvani Salasa na inirekomenda ng Board of Pardons and Parole.
