Walang TRO vs DOJ-Comelec panel

MANILA, Philippines - Hindi nagpalabas ng temporary restraining order ang Supreme Court sa joint Department of Justice (DOJ) at Commission on Elections panel na nag-iimbestiga sa malawakang dayaan noong 2007 elections kung saan isinasangkot si dating pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Ayon kay SC spokesman at court administrator Atty. Midas Marquez, sa halip ay nagkaroon ng  botohang 10-4 kung saan nagpasya na pagsamahin ang mga petition na inihain ni Gng Arroyo at mister nitong si Mike Arroyo at dating Comelec chief Benjamin Abalos na kumukuwestiyon sa legalidad ng DOJ-Comelec panel.

Ito sana ang inaasahan ng mga Arroyo upang pigilan ang Pasay City Regional Trial Court (RTC) para sa paghawak ng criminal case na electoral sabotage.

Binigyan ang DoJ at Comelec ng hindi lalagpas sa limang araw para magkomento habang itinakda ang oral argument sa Nobyembre 29, 2011. (Doris Franche/Rudy Andal)
