E-CTPL 'di na tinatanggap ng LTO

MANILA, Philippines - Hindi na umano tinatanggap ng karamihan sa district offices sa buong bansa ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) ang Enhanced Comprehensive Third Party Liabi­lity mula sa UCPB Ge­neral Insurance Co. Inc. at Stronghold Insurance Companies na iniisyu ng kanilang mga authorized agents na Passenger Accident Mana­gers Insu­rance (PAMI) at Universal Insurance Transport Solutions Inc. (Unitrans).

Ito’y matapos magpalabas ng kautusan ang Insurance Commission noong Abril 28, 2011 na kinakansela na ang lisensiya ng PAMI at Unitrans dahil umano sa mga samut saring paglabag sa kontrata ng Philippine Passenger Accident Insurance Program (PPAIP).

Ayon kay assistant regional director VI Nelson Manaloto, nagbigay na umano sila ng instructions sa kanilang mga tauhan na hindi na tanggapin pa ang CTPL mula sa PAMI at Unitrans upang mapangalagaan ang interes ng publiko na tumatangkilik ng insu­rance policy ng dalawang kumpanyang nabanggit.
