Mga telecom sa Romblon bubuwisan na

-

Mel Madrid, pinagtibay na ang Resolution No. 05-2011-102 noong Mayo 23, 2011- “Requesting Smart Communications, Inc., Globe Telecommunications and Sun Celluar for a copy of its gross annual sales in the province of Romblon and demanding due payment of local tax applicable under the Local Government Code.”

Ginamit na batayan ng resolusyon ang Section 137 ng Local Government Code na nagsasaad na: “Notwithstanding any exemption granted by any law or other special laws, the province may impose a tax on business enjoying a franchise, at a rate not exceeding fifty percent (50%) of one percent (1%) of the gross annual receipts for the preceding calendar year based on the incoming receipt, or realized, within its territorial jurisdiction.”
