Pinas no. 8 sa terror target

MANILA, Philippines - Minaliit kahapon ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ang report ng Maplecroft, isang Global Risks Advisory Firm, na pang-8 ang Pilipinas sa top 10 na mga bansang target ng terror attack.

Sinabi ni AFP Spokesman Brig. Gen. Jose Mabanta, noong 2008-2010 ay nasa No. 6 ang bansa sa sinasabing target ng terror attack at ng samutsaring mga bayolenteng insidente na gumimbal sa international community.

“So this is actually improvement, despite of yung so called Maguindanao massacre, the hostage taking fiasco, this terror hype, we improved two notches,” pahayag ni Mabanta.

Base sa ipinalabas na Terrorism Risk Index ng Maplecroft , nangunguna sa target ng terror attack ang Somalia, Pakistan (2), Iraq (3), Afghanistan (4), Palestinian occupied territory (5 ), Colombia (6), Thailand (7), Philippines (8), Yemen (9) at Russia (10) sa posibleng atakehin ng international terrorist groups na Jemaah Islamiyah at Al Qaeda.

Gayunman, kumambyo naman si Mabanta sa pagsasabing tutol siya sa nakuhang rating ng Pilipinas.

“We’re not mentioning others, countries in the middle east, Asia, America, and even Europe, why are we no. 8 so there is a lot of questions that need to be answered,” giit pa ni Mabanta.
