Colorum, kabit at buntis target ni Tiangco
MANILA, Philippines – Isang House resolution ang ihahain ni Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco, para tukuyin ang lumalalang mga problema sa colorum, kabit at buntis.
Ayon kay Tiangco, sa December 2007 report na nakuha niya may 2.34 million vehicles ang duma daan sa Edsa o sa C-4 sa araw-araw at 139,227 ay mga pampublikong bus.
Sinabi ni Tiangco, dapat mabusisi kung bakit hindi magkakatugma ang report ng Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) na may estimate na 5,000 ang mga bus na bumabagtas sa mga pangunahing kalye sa Metro Manila, habang ang LTFRB ay 3,800 at MMDA 3,290 lamang.
“Colorum”, the most popular, is where a bus company without a franchise fields buses or where a franchised bus company fields buses in unauthorized routes. “Kabit” takes place when a bus allows other individuals or companies to piggyback on its government-issued franchise for a fee. “Buntis” occurs when the license plate of one bus authorized to use one route is currently used by four other buses.’ paliwanag ni Tiangco.
