Medical tests sa lahat ng kandidato giit
MANILA, Philippines - Bagaman hindi naman nakasaad sa Konstitusyon, iginiit kahapon ni Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Charito Planas sa lahat ng kandidato na tumatakbo para sa eleksiyon sa Mayo na sumailalim sa medical tests at mga clearances na hinihingi sa isang nag-aaplay ng trabaho.
Ayon kay Planas, kahit na ang isang aplikante para maging janitor ay kumukuha ng kung anu-anong clearances at sumasailalim sa psychological at medical tests.
“When anybody applies for a job, even as low as a janitor, the applicant is required to get clearances from the barangay, police, National Bureau of Investigation and medical and psychological tests so that the would-be employer is positive about the overall condition of the applicant,” sabi ni Planas.
Sinabi pa ni Planas na dapat ng pag-isipan na isama sa requirements ng mga nais kumandidato ang pagsusumite ng kanilang medical tests.
“It’s high time we think of making it a requirement for public officials through the Constitution,” sabi ni Planas.
